Once upon a time, not very long ago, we wondered whether we’d see a meaningful summer season here in Morzine, Les Gets and Avoriaz. Yet here we are, sharing news of an incredible new activity launching in Les Gets this summer, on 31st July 2020.
Alta Lumina is an enchanted night walk beyond the mountains. Suitable for all ages, Alta Lumina is a multi-sensory walk through the forest at night and your imagination will run wild. You can expect the natural beauty of your surroundings to be enhanced by some very clever technology, including video projection, special effects and a unique soundtrack.
This new activity is the first of its kind in Europe. It’ll tell the story of local legends and, in a step towards Les Gets’ commitment to four seasons tourism, Alta Lumina will be open all year round. The story revolves around a music busker who files across the mountains in a hot air balloon. Lights, sounds and the natural atmosphere of the forest will create a unique and unforgettable experience.
Of course, considering the global health crisis, a number of safety measures will be in place to protect visitors at Alta Lumina. The number of visitors at any time will be reduced by 50% to enable social distancing and to respect the necessary barrier gestures. All surfaces will be disinfected regularly, hydroalcoholic gel will be available and tickets will only be available to buy online.
Alta Lumina is located within the forest behind Lac des Ecoles. The trail is self-guided over 1km and the experience lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Prices start at €12 per child. Buy your tickets and discover more HERE.
