For Families: Father Christmas Lives in Les Gets
Every Christmas, Father Christmas comes to stay in Les Gets, and brings his winter wonderland with him! Who knew? But on a serious note, Pere Noel is a serious treat for kids if you’re on holiday at Christmas. While the whole town is buzzing with holiday spirit and Christmassy goings on, the sure highlight is venturing up to Santa’s cabin in the woods, complete with elves and an enchanting atmosphere. You can visit Father Christmas for two weeks over Christmas, make sure you don’t miss him!

For a Party: Ski Color
How many places can you ski while being covered in coloured powder? Ski Color is without a doubt one of the most fun days out of the season. Held on Mont Chery, everyone dons a white boiler suit and then skis down a specially marked trail, while being covered with explosions of coloured powder. The idea is to be totally covered in colour by the time you reach the bottom. And the fun doesn’t stop there – after the main event, all colourful participants can enjoy an open-air DJ, lots of dancing and a great ambiance.

For a Unique Experience: La Grande Odyssée
La Grande Odyssée is a truly unique event; one of the few dog sled tours in Europe, Les Gets hosts just one stage of this incredible two-week race. The race passes through the centre of town at the start and finish, so is a great opportunity to see Europe’s best mushers and their teams of dogs battling it out to be the best in the business.

For Lovebirds: I Love Mont Chèry
Every Valentine’s Day, Mont Chèry puts on a spectacular display by decorating and serving romantic aperitifs in their gondola. If you want to impress someone you love, this is a surefire way to do it! Enjoy an aperitif in the amazingly decorated Mont Chèry bubble, followed by dinner at altitude, all with stunning moonlit views of Les Gets village. A unique, romantic evening, I Love Mont Chèry is becoming a Les Gets institution!

For Music Lovers: Rock the Pistes
We couldn’t write this article without mentioning Rock the Pistes. This fantastic piste-side music festival takes place across the entirety of the Portes du Soleil, allowing you to ski between concerts on the slopes, but Les Gets always puts on an incredible display. This year The Horrors will be gracing the M0rzine-Les Gets main stage and as always, the atmosphere will be pumping!
