We’ve already brought you news of new pistes in Les Gets this winter, and now for the next exciting winter addition, all-new spa and swimming complex, les Sources du Chéry. Swimming and relaxing in the spa are a great compliment to a day on the slopes, and with so many resorts now offering public pools and wellness facilities, les Sources du Chéry is meeting the trend in a pretty spectacular manner. Giving you the option to swim, have fun, chill out or indulge in a beauty treatment, this complex is the first of its kind in Les Gets.
Les Sources du Chéry will cater expertly to both adults and kids, consisting of an adults-only swimming and relaxation area, a kids’ area with a games, slides and a play pool, plus a dedicated wellness and beauty area. The main swimming and relaxation zone will be a 1000m² space of aquatic goodness, with swimming lanes and cold water plunge pools for those who want to feel revitalised, while steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools and hot tubs will offer maximum relaxation. There will even be a salt cave where you can float around in salty water which, in our opinion, is the ultimate way to unwind. Next up, in the kids area, children aged between three and twelve will be able to enjoy lots of aquatic fun and games, including slides, a climbing wall and a paddling pool for little swimmers.
Lastly, les Sources du Chéry will house a spa and beauty area, where guests can enjoy a range of beauty treatments and massages. The spa will be using exclusive products from Exertier Laboratories, a French company that specialises in natural ingredients sourced from France. This fits perfectly with the ethos of les Sources des Chéry, where the design and atmosphere will reflect Les Gets’ history as a logging village and mountain town utilising stone, wood and natural spring water throughout the complex. Did you know the name Les Gets actually comes for the word giets, the paths used for transporting wood down the mountain?
And if you think that there couldn’t possibly be any more space in this aquatic wonderland, you’re in for a surprise, as les Sources du Chéry will also house an art gallery. The first exhibition will be from sculptor, Pierre Margara, who hails from the Savoie region and specialises in natural materials.
Les Sources du Chéry is due to open at the beginning of December and will be open year round, with just a few short breaks in between seasons, which is great news. The planned opening hours during winter will be from 9:30am until 9:30pm so you’ll have all day to swim, spa, play and relax.
