The 2019 Snow-Camp Alpine Challenge

This winter youth charity Snow-Camp return to Morzine for the 10th annual AJ Bell Alpine Challenge. Taking place between 24th and 27th January 2019, the event is set to be even bigger and better than before.

Teams of four skiers or snowboarders compete to cover over 150km of the Portes du Soleil’s pistes over two days wearing a GPS tracker and stopping at check points en-route. The challenge is one of skill, navigation and speed; and fundraising of course. In 2015 Team Morzine Source Magazine clocked up a massive 313km over the two days and raised over £1000 for charity. Can you go one step further and beat our record-breaking distance?

Entry costs just £100 per team member and this includes your team bib, GPS tracking, packed lunches, medals and a BBQ and mulled wine party on the evening before the event. There’ll also be an awards ceremony on the Saturday evening in Morzine. Register your team now!

This winter’s AJ Bell Alpine Challenge format is particularly suited to local teams, or those who want to plan their own travel and accommodation. You could even build the event into your existing holiday plans!

Snow-Camp’s mission is to engage inner-city young people through snowsports to provide life skills training. They provide nationally recognised qualifications and work experience to increase their motivations and aspirations. Snow-Camp graduates go on to gain employment within the snowsports industry and beyond.
