An exceptional amount of snow has fallen on the highest slopes of Avoriaz 1800 this spring and the forward-thinking folk in the resort have decided to open the ski lifts for this weekend only. Nope, it’s not the 1st April.
The brand new Ski & Bike event takes place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this coming weekend, 11th – 13th June. Ski on the slopes of Fornet and the Arare in the morning before heading to the trails of the Super Morzine, which will now open this Friday, rather than on Saturday as previously planned.
The Prodains Express opens between 7.30am and and 3pm each day
The ski lifts below will open between 8am and 1pm each day
In addition to the Prodains Express, the Stade chairlift, Lac-Intrêts and Fornet chairlifts will also open
You’ll enjoy access to the following pistes:
– Bleue du Lac
– Snowpark d’Arare
– Tête aux Boeufs
– Aller-retour de Chavanette
– Bleue du Fornet
Meanwhile over on the Super Morzine, the Avoriaz MTB bikepark opens between 9am and 4.45pm on each day of the long weekend.
The following lifts will be open on the Avoriaz side of the village:
– Super-Morzine gondola
– Zore chairlift
– Séraussaix chairlift
At the same time the Pleney gondola will also open between 9am and 5pm.
Lift passes are priced at €17 per person for a ski pass or €26 per adult for a lift pass that combines the ski and bike package. A child’s pass is €20 and a youth / senior pass €23
You’ll need to reserve your passes in advance at www.skipass-avoriaz.com and the passes will go on sale at 8.30am on Wednesday 9th June.
*Note that your existing season passes for winter or summer won’t give you access to the ski area, but your Summer 21 season pass will give you access to the bike lifts.
Access to Avoriaz 1800 will be via the Prodains Express or using the car park at the top of Avoriaz.
