It’s one of the highlights of the summer for us mountain dwelling folk. The Montreux Jazz Festival is an annual summer event, held just over an hours drive from Morzine. But don’t let it’s name confuse you. Although it’s origins are clearly in Jazz music, the festival has hosted the likes of De La Soul, Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, Jessie J, Arcade Fire, Carlos Santana and even Ziggy Marley to name just a few.
Although the full artist line-up isn’t usually released until the middle of April each year, it’s just been announced that Prince will perform three concerts on 13th, 14th and 15th July. Prince first performed at Montreux in 2007 and returned in 2009, each time selling out the Auditorium Stravinski. Tickets are now on sale at www.montreuxjazzfestival.com
