Le Raid d’Enfer – Sunday 30th June

The St Jean d’Aulps Ski Club is organising an adventure race called the ‘Raid d’Enfer’ this summer, in and around the Grande Terche ski area. There are three events on the program:

L’Ultra Raid d’Enfer

Covering 45 km of trails with 2000m of ascent, this option includes mountain biking, orienteering, archery and trail running. Teams should comprise of of two adventurers, and the minimum age is 16 if one adult is in the team, otherwise the minimum age is 18. Entry is €80 per team, which includes a meal at the finish.

L’Raid d’Enfer

Covering 30km of trails with 1500m of ascent and including mountain biking, orienteering, archery and trail running. Again teams are made up of two adventurers, the minimum age is 10 if one adult is in the team, otherwise the minimum age is 16. Entry is €60 per team, which includes a meal at the finish.

Le Mini Raid d’Enfer

This event will take place on the plateau at the Grande Terche. Just like the big boys (and girls), the mini raiders will need to show off their mountain biking and archery skills. There will also be a mini orienteering course and a few surprise activities along the way. Open to kids aged 6 -12 competing individually. Entry is €5 per child.

Inscriptions are open now and the closing date is June 20th. If there are places left you can also sign up at the last minute the day before the event (10€ extra per team). You can download your entry form on the website. It should be printed, completed and returned to the following address:

If you don’t fancy taking part then just come along and watch. The télècabine will be open free of charge for the day and there will be activities on the plateau. As well as the kid’s race the main event racers will also pass through, the archery takes place on the plateau and there is the bike/trail transition.
