Millions of euros have been spent in Morzine’s neighbouring resort of Avoriaz in the last couple of years. And now the long-awaited Avoriaz water park ‘Aquariaz’ has opened (on time and apparently within budget…). Aquariaz has been designed by the Centre Parcs people and includes water features such as lazy rivers, a water half-pipe, climbing walls and a huge swimming pool. The 2000 metre square complex is surrounded by tropical plants and has loads of additional family facilities.
And the best news of all… boys don’t have to wear Speedos, like in most other French swimming pools!
Aquariaz is open throughout the summer and the winter between the hours of 10.30am and 7.30pm and if you’re staying in the Portes du Soleil with a MultiPass accommodation provider, entry to the water park is just €2 per person with your MultiPass. For everyone else, admission is €8 for adults and €5 for kids.
