Avoriaz

Avoriaz’ Igloo Village Opens Saturday!

We’re sure that the clever team behind the Avoriaz Igloo Village are chuffed that they chose the resort for their new construction this winter. Avoriaz is currently one of the only resorts in the Alps with temperatures low enough to produce snow, which is great news for the igloo’s creators!

Opening on Saturday, the Avoriaz Igloo Village is 200msq in size, and includes a bar, two bedrooms, 1 dining room and a dance floor. Sculpting work is still in progress and the whole village will be modified throughout the season.

Ouverture

You’ll find the Igloo Village on the Arare piste in Avoriaz. The bar opens at 1pm each day and a traditional Savoyarde meal is available each evening for €95 per person, after which you can glide back into town on your skis. Alternatively, if you’ve enjoyed a little too much of the locally produced genepi, you might prefer to bed down for the night in an ice bedroom, which costs £175 per person, including dinner.

If you’re not on skis, you can take the Stade chairlift to the Arare mid-station and then walk to the Igloo in 10 minutes.
